Some of you may know me as a producer, director and/or writer. From music videos to commercial parodies for SNL & FunnyorDie.com to award winning indies, I specialize in making films for those people who like to laugh. Including myself … and it’s starting to show.

I don’t plan to review products with this blog, as I already have a full-time job. This is simply a journal that chronicles my actual beauty regimen.

there's nothing funny about laugh lines

For Flawless Skin: Revision's Intellishade SPF 45

Because I am simply not ready to ‘show’ my age, I will start with the one product I cannot live without: Intellishade SPF 45.

We all have our favorite beauty brands - you know, the drool-worthy ones that you’ll fork over just about anything to have the latest, most coveted piece standing front and center on your vanity and this is one of those products I keep on that list. Intellishade is a tinted moisturizer, with an SPF of 45. Yes, you read right … 45. I haven’t worn foundation for at least 10 years, and because I can’t always bring my entire skincare arsenal with me, this is my one go to item. If you don’t already know, tinted moisturizers are a great multitasking product. They provide moisture, they even out skin tone with extremely light coverage, and if you’re lucky, they’ll provide some sun protection. But, if you’re really lucky, they’ll provide those three things, and then go above and beyond, and minimize pores, protect your skin against future aging, and only come in one shade that is formulated to match every skin tone. Yes, this is that product, and I swear by it. The biggest (and most consistent) compliment I receive, on a regular basis, is how great my skin looks. I believe that this product has everything to do with that.

Cost: $45.00

Company Website: http://intellishadespf45.com/

Note: There are two formula’s Matte and the original Radiant. I use Radiant, because I love the look of a little sheen.

Tip: When I need a little more coverage … for a big event or whenever I feel like I need to absolutely fill in those lines. Instead of reaching for foundation, I use a primer with my tinted moisturizer.

And not just any primer. I use Smashox’s Photo Finish Primer. It minimizes fine lines, temporarily evens out my skin tone, hides large pores and sets the canvas for my makeup that lasts far beyond the workday. You only need a dime-size amount and it can be used daily or only for special occasions. This stuff works!

Cost: $36.00

Website: http://www.smashbox.com

Note: There are several versions of the Smashbox Primer, I use the colorless original.

Want more? ... and who doesn't?
